How to arrange Workcover funded therapy support:

To qualify, your mental health condition must be clearly linked to your employment - either directly caused by it, or exacerbated by it. You’ll need a medical diagnosis and proof that it impacts your ability to work.

 
Easy steps to apply for Workcover mental health support:

 

  1. Inform your employer

  2. Consult with a healthcare professional (doctor or psychiatrist) to diagnose your condition and provide a medical certificate

  3. Make a workcover claim. Your employer should lodge it on your behalf. Alternatively you can choose to initiate it yourself, by contact Workcover QLD directly

  4. Be prepared to provide details about your mental health condition, its impact on your work and any relevant medical documentation

  5. Worksafe will assess your claim and determine your eligibitliy for support including funding for ongoing mental health treatment.

  6. While your claim is being processed, you may be eligible for provisional payments to cover the costs of treatment
