Jackie
Jackie is a Provisional Psychologist and a Positive Behaviour Support Specialist. She oversees and manages the execution of behaviour support plans at Therapea Health. Since 2019 Jackie has focused on post-traumatic growth, helping individuals coping with and loss, as well as those affected by chronic pain through the NDIS. Her maturity and life experiences allow her to assist clients facing complex challenges, including those with intellectual disabilities, autism, schizophrenia and other disorders, as well as those struggling with suicidal thoughts, with poise and understanding. Minh
Minh's warm demeanour helps her young clients feel comfortable right from their initial appointment. She integrates her expertise in depression, anxiety, stress, trauma, ADHD, and autism to create personalized strategies for each individual. Minh is particularly interested in examining the effects of grief and eating disorders. Her dedication lies in truly understanding people and providing them with a safe space to express themselves, all while utilizing an empathetic, client-centred approach. Asma
Asma is a Psychologist who values compassion, connection, and integrity in her work. Asma has spent 5+ years in school and clinic settings supporting children and adolescents who experience developmental delays, behavioural issues, academic and social challenges. Asma is a deeply kind, knowledgeable and professional practitioner who works with people through anxiety, trauma, depression, ADHD, Autism and grief using a variety of evidence-based practices. Asma's toolbox includes ACT, CBT and Narrative Therapy psychological modalities, along with indigenous and faith-based psychology applications - to ensure a bespoke and holistic approach to support her clients. Arriving in New Zealand at 12 years old, as a refugee from Afghanistan with her mother and siblings, Asma carries a deep awareness of identity, resilience, and belonging—threads that often emerge in her therapeutic work. Inspired by her mother’s courage and her own lived experience of adapting to a new country and overcoming adversity, these early influences shape the insightful and empathetic way she supports others. Asma is a devoted mother of two, who, along with her husband, resettled her family in Australia in 2024. She is an avid nature enthusiast, and has hiked and camped extensively throughout NZ, and is looking forward to discovering new trails and exploring the wild beauty of Victoria. Jessica
Jessica is a Psychologist with over 6 years of experience in mental health and couples counselling, assisting clients dealing with stress, anxiety disorders, mood disorders, ADHD, autism and trauma. She utilizes a diverse range of evidence-based psychological treatments to support her clients and has a particular interest and specialist training to help those with eating disorders. Jessica offers her services both through telehealth and in person at our Werribee clinic. Matt
Matt is a skilled provisional psychologist who has worked with adults facing challenges such as anxiety, depression, anger, relationship problems, and issues related to alcohol and drug dependence, as well as the lasting effects of trauma. Having faced substantial trauma and personal obstacles himself, Matt is able to deeply empathize with clients navigating their own tough circumstances and is skilled in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to assist people move powerfully past their pain. Matt often serves some of the most marginalized individuals in society, including crime victims and those who are incarcerated. Francisco
Francisco (Fran) earned his degree in Psychology from institutions in the USA and the University of Buenos Aires. Before joining Therapea Health, he gained five years of experience as a psychosocial coach and mental health support worker in Australia and Argentina. This role allowed him to support clients with neurodiversity, ADHD, Epilepsy, Down Syndrome, and physical disabilities, including non-verbal children. Additionally, Fran is qualified to conduct ADOS-2 Autism assessments. Outside of work, he maintains an active lifestyle and enjoys playing and watching soccer, basketball, board games, as well as movies and music. Jaz
Meet Jaz, a provisional psychologist blending hands-on clinical experience with a strong foundation in research on evidence-based mental health care. She is a Master of Clinical Psychology candidate working toward general registration. Jaz has a particular interest in supporting children and families, as well as teens and adults experiencing addiction, anxiety, depression, trauma, and neurodiverse presentations. She works from a holistic, relational perspective, believing that meaningful progress in mental health comes from deeply understanding the whole person and strengthening the connections that matter most to them. The modalities she draws from include ACT, CBT, CFT, DBT, and Schema Therapy. You can expect warmth, curiosity, clear and supportive boundaries, and therapy grounded in best-practice methods when working with Jaz. Outside her professional role, Jaz enjoys badminton, taking care of her bonsai, dabbling with guitar, singing, and envisioning her next road trip. Yani
Yani is a Provisional Psychologist who enjoys working with adolescents and adults. Yani brings a warm, engaging, and collaborative presence to therapy; curious by nature, and direct in a way that feels supportive. Yani’s approach is person-centred, creative, and grounded in building strong rapport. He’s drawn to self-discovery and self-mastery work: understanding your inner world, clarifying values, reconnecting with strengths, aiming for deep self-awareness, and building a life that feels more aligned and authentic. He has a particular interest in men, boys and teens mental health, and enjoys supporting people in need of direction. Yani works with a range of concerns including stress and overwhelm, anxiety, low mood, depression, motivation and direction, self-worth and confidence, relationship difficulties, life transitions, and executive functioning challenges. His toolbox draws on evidence-based approaches such as CBT- and ACT-informed therapy, alongside strengths-based, values-focused work. Yani works with a trauma-informed background, and understands how unconscious patterns, past experiences and unresolved emotions can influence current thoughts, behaviours and relationships. Yani also values the mind–body connection and the role of movement in mental wellbeing. Outside of the clinic, Yani loves competitive soccer and weightlifting. George
Meet George, a highly competent Paediatric Occupational Therapist with a decade of experience in clinics and school settings. With 5 years as a clinical supervisor and 3 years teaching at the University of the Philippines, he is dedicated to helping children develop essential skills for everyday life. George collaborates closely with families to create tailored therapy plans that enhance fine and gross motor skills, sensory processing, and cognitive development. His engaging and interactive approach ensures a personalized therapy experience, while also promoting valuable skills like digital literacy and problem-solving. Outside work, George is a multimedia artist (oil pastels and water colours). This artistic background not only informs his therapeutic approach but also strengthens his ability to engage children in innovative ways. As a sports enthusiast, George enjoys boxing, martial arts and going to the gym regularly. He follows NBA and NBL basketball leagues and enjoys watching the international tennis circuit. With a blend of professionalism, compassion, and a genuine love for helping children, George strives to make a lasting positive impact in every child's life. Fathima
Meet Fathima, a Speech and Language Therapist with over six years' experience working with both adults and children across a range of communication and swallowing needs. Fathima has extensive experience in assessing and supporting individuals with language, fluency, voice, dysphagia, and speech sound disorders. She takes a client-centred and evidence-based approach, tailoring therapy to meet each individual’s unique communication goals. Fathima holds certifications in Oral Placement Therapy (Level 1 & 2), is a Natural Language Acquisition (NLA) Registered Gestalt Language Processing (GLP) Practitioner, and a Certified AAC Practitioner, Auditory Verbal Therapist (Hearing Impaired) equipping with a diverse toolkit to support clients with varying communication styles and needs. Fathima's passion lies in empowering clients to find their voice and confidence in communication, while fostering meaningful connections between therapy and daily life. Outside work, she enjoys painting, creating therapy resources, exploring new places, and spending quality time with her family. Alan
Alan displays wisdom beyond his years, showcasing a remarkable level of emotional intelligence that his clients, regardless of age, truly value. With a strong passion for sports and gaming, he takes the lead in our Minecraft therapy sessions. His favourite hobby is playing volleyball, where he gains immense satisfaction in delivering a powerful swing. However, after sustaining an injury, he channels his competitive spirit through online games Call of Duty and Halo on Xbox. He also enjoys single-player RPGs and has a particular affinity for sci-fi films, though he occasionally ventures into the horror genre when accompanied by friends. Although growing up in Darwin, Alan has English and Cambodian heritage and was raised in a multicultural environment. This background, along with a diverse circle of friends, has nurtured his open-mindedness and eagerness to learn about various cultures. While he continually seeks new passions, one constant remains: Alan considers himself a better listener than a speaker This quality fuels his energy to support the well-being of others, which ultimately inspired his choice of profession.
