At Therapea Health, our counselling team provides a supportive space for individuals and families to talk through concerns, strengthen coping strategies, and build healthier relationships. Counselling focuses on practical support for everyday challenges, helping you navigate life’s ups and downs with clarity and confidence.
Who We Help

Counselling is especially helpful for people who may not need a clinical diagnosis but want guidance and support. We work with:

-
Children and adolescents experiencing friendship issues, self-esteem concerns, exam stress, or family changes such as separation.
-
Adults adjusting to new life stages, workplace stress, parenting challenges, or relationship difficulties.
-
Families and couples wanting to improve communication, resolve conflict, or work through transitions together.
-
Individuals experiencing stress, overwhelm, or uncertainty who want to develop resilience and find new ways forward.

Benefits of Counselling

Counselling offers a safe environment to:

Improve communication and strengthen relationships
-
Develop coping skills for stress and worry
-
Navigate grief, loss, or major changes with support
-
Build self-esteem and emotional resilience
-
Clarify personal values and direction
-
Explore challenges without judgement
Where psychology often focuses on diagnosis and treatment of mental health conditions, counselling is more about practical strategies, emotional support, and personal growth.

Our Approach
Our counsellors take a practical, person-centered approach, focused on building trust, understanding lived experience, and supporting meaningful day-to-day change.
Sessions are collaborative and paced to suit each individual. Alan and Anil work by listening carefully, meeting clients where they are, and helping them make sense of their experiences in ways that feel manageable and relevant to real life.
Their work is informed by:
Strengths-based and solution-focused conversations
-
Supportive, insight-oriented counselling grounded in lived experience
-
Neurodiversity-affirming and inclusive practices
-
Culturally responsive and identity-affirming care
-
Creative and engagement-based approaches, including therapeutic gaming where appropriate
Rather than applying a one-size-fits-all model, Alan and Anil focus on creating a safe, respectful space where clients can explore challenges, build confidence, and develop practical strategies that support their wellbeing.
