Creative Arts Therapy
Therapea Health is proud to offer a variety of creative arts therapies as genuine, viable and complementary alternatives to our traditional allied health services, that are claimable within the NDIS funding framework.
Such therapies support emotional, cognitive, physical, and psychosocial wellbeing and are delivered in individual or group settings or via
online sessions.
We work with clients of all ages, needs and abilities to foster therapeutic outcomes in a joyful and creative way.
Our creative arts therapists are registered professionals who utilise a variety of classical theoretical perspectives including counselling, psychology, sociology, neuroscientific theories, arts and humanities.
Dance Movement Therapy
Dance Movement Therapy focuses on physical movement and the body, which is particularly effective for participants who are non-verbal, and those who seek to engage in a fun and playful ways of building their connection with others.
Our qualified Dance Movement Therapists assist people better regulate their emotions, reduce anxiety and depression, improve their mobility, gain self-confidence and self-awareness, build better relationships and become more socially connected.

Dance Movement Therapy can be facilitated both in individual and group classes, either online or face to face. Dance Movement Therapists assist clients diagnosed with Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyper Disorder (ADHD), learning difficulties and developmental delays, sensory disorders, Down Syndrome, physical disabilities, mental health issues, or those recovering from addiction, or who have suffered trauma, neglect and abuse.
Dramatherapy
Dramatherapy is a playful, embodied approach to counselling.
Our qualified Dramatherapists use drama, play and creative techniques to enable individuals to work on a wide range of goals related to personal development, social functioning, and overall physical and mental wellbeing.
This approach enables joyful participation, self-expression and engagement with others – and an opportunity to creatively and collaboratively explore and address real life relationships, personal motivation, challenging social situations and personal wellbeing goals in a safe and supportive space.
Dramatherapy can promote joy and interpersonal connection, improve focus, social skills, self-awareness, confidence and self-esteem, and can be facilitated both in individual and group classes, either online or face to face.
Our Dramatherapists can tailor programs to suit the therapeutic objectives of adults and children with intellectual/developmental/physical disabilities, mental health concerns or those recovering from addictions or traumatic life experiences.
Music Therapy
Music Therapy aims to support the whole health and wellbeing of an individual through the active engagement of music.
Our qualified Music Therapists are highly trained musicians and allied health professionals who utiliSe evidence-based musical interventions that are tailored to each participant’s social, emotional, cognitive and physical health needs.
Music therapy is beneficial to people of all ages and abilities, and is delivered in individual and group classes, either online or face to face.
Methods employed may include song writing, active music making, improvisation, receptive music listening, playlist creation and much more.
Music Therapy has been proven to be highly effective in:
